John graduated from the UNLV with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration with dual majors in Personnel Management and
Economics. He was awarded numerous academic scholarship including the
Paul Hammel scholarship as the outstanding Business and Economics
Department Senior; graduating with High Distinction -- the highest
honors awarded to graduating students.
John received his Juris
Doctorate, Cum Laude, from J. Rueben Clark Law School (BYU) in 1986.
While attending law school, he received awards for scholarly writing and
was one of a handful of law students selected to publish an article in
the school's Journal of Legal Studies. John was also selected as an
editor for that publication reviewing other articles by students and
professors.
In addition to attending college and
law school, John has taught others regarding
legal subjects. After graduating from law school, he returned
there to teach a class in computer uses in the law. Then after
coming back to Las Vegas, he taught classes to paralegals in the areas of
civil procedure, contract law, community property, family law,
uniform commercial code, landlord/tenant law as well as wills and trusts. While a adjunct professor as Las Vegas College,
John taught classes in constitutional law and Nevada history. |
